In accordance with its Public Involvement Policy, the Cabarrus-Rowan Metropolitan Planning Organization (CR MPO), hereby announces the opening of a 30 day public comment period for the Draft 2055 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) and the associated Conformity Analysis and Determination Report and the P8.0 TIP Project Solicitation and Ranking Process. The public comment period will open beginning Monday, February 16, 2026. The MTP is a listing of all funded transportation projects scheduled for implementation within the CR MPO area over the next 30 years. The Metropolitan TIP must be a subset of the MTP and both must be financially constrained.
